I just finished teaching for the day, and am still in the classroom writing this response to you from the Midwood section of Brooklyn after a particularly emotional sharing with my students of the orthodox Jewish boxer who I did not realize was a student at our college until after I had posted his marvelous full feature film, "Orthodox Stance," from Hulu.com at the top center of the site. While I am not a boxing fan, he is emblematice also for your own sentiments on the fight we all face in the face of misunderstandings and, yes, sadly enough, discrimination of all sorts. Yet, this 28?-year-old Russian-American Orthodox Jew is such an inspiration, his success transcends boxing and becomes a statement of pride for all of us, Jews and non-Jews alike.
Thank you for posting the brainstorm of students on the 30-second video on the planning process for speech introductions, we have also made friends with Tony Wilson, from the NorthEast of England, who has written comments on the students' speech presentations from both divisions of the college where I teach, Jewish and Non-Jewish. So, again, welcome,
John Richard Green
